Queen's Surf Days and Nights!

Lately I was gabbin' with a friend of mine, R.J.... we were talking story about the good ol days which jogged his memory and he reminded me of many anecdotes of the Queen's Surf days... where he spent many evenings. Having spent time in the military, he and his wife would pick up servicemen coming into port and treat them to a great nite they would never forget. They would hele on down to da PukaPuka Otea show at the Queen's Surf. The servicemen were so grateful and R.J. felt it was the least he could do for our boys in uniform...
One night R.J and his wife were sitting there ringside at the Barefoot Bar enjoying Sterling Mossman's show so much, carousing with their friends and bantering with the performers on stage... there was a man and woman to their right sitting there quietly, demurely but with very bemused expressions on their faces. The gentleman finally came over to R.J. and asked; "say... would you mind if we joined you? You guys look like yer having a great time." "Sure ya can!" was the natural answer. So the rest of the evening, R.J and his wife partied at the Queen's surf and basically introduced their new friends, Hugh Hefner and Barbie Benton to the Local Hawaiian way to party!
